CONTRA COSTA COUNTY:

The Contra Costa County Sheriff's office is encouraging residents who live in unincorporated areas to take advantage of several sandbag stations that are set-up across the county.

The sandbag stations are located in Richmond, Bay Point, Oakley, Pacheco and Walnut Creek.

You must bring your own shovel, but the sand and bagging materials will be provided at the following locations:

Richmond
West County Detention Facility, 5555 Giant Hwy, Richmond

Sandbags are cached on site in a container at the sand cradle located on the south side of the facility public parking area.


Bay Point
Ambrose Recreation & Park Center - 3105 Willow Pass Road, Bay Point

West side of the parking lot next to one of the trees approximately of the way back to the playing fields. Sandbags are cached in a container on site at the sand cradle.


Oakley
Senior Center, 215 Second Street, Oakley

Materials are located at the south end of the parking lot beside a large tree adjacent to the Office of the Sheriff Delta Station.


Pacheco
County Public Works, 2475 Waterbird Way, Pacheco

Sandbags are cached in a container on site at the sand cradle.


Walnut Creek
Howe Homestead, 2950 Walnut Boulevard, Walnut Creek

Materials are located in the parking lot.


MARIN COUNTY

Sandbags are available at all fire stations in San Rafael. Residents are responsible for filling their own sandbags. The county does not provide free sandbags to the public.

NAPA COUNTY
The city of Napa set up a sandbag station on Freeway Drive. The free sand and sandbags are available in the parking lot of the softball fields on Freeway Drive, just south of First Street.
Other Napa Valley locations for sandbags are:

American Canyon
Free sandbags can be picked up at the following locations: Corporation Yard, 205 Wetlands Edge Road, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the empty lot next to the American Canyon Library, 300 Crawford Way (24 hours).

St. Helena
Sandbags will be available at the two standard locations: the east end of Adams Street and at Crane Park.

Calistoga
Sand is stockpiled on lower Washington Street near the Little League field where residents can fill bags. There is a limit of 20 bags per property. The sand stockpile is available during regular working hours.

Yountville
Sandbags are available on a self-service basis from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays at the town corporation yard, 7501 Solano Ave. Residents also can pick up sandbags 24 hours a day at Yountville Community Park until the storm leaves Napa County.
